To Do List: Places I Still Need to Try in Barry

The below is my ‘to do’ list - places I’ve come across but I’ve not tried or been there. If I ever visit any of them, I will update the blog with pics & review :)

Shops & Restaurants

AWESOME WALES ~ Can’t believe I’ve never been, Barry’s first no waste shop. You can shop and order online too

FOOD FOR THOUGHT DELI ~ I hear such good things about this deli and the baguettes

MR VILLAS ~ Still really want to go here, highly rated fancy fish restaurant, offering a takeaway service at the moment through lockdown

BASHED BURGERS ~ They have an amazing rep and look so, so lush!

MOUNT ROOMS BISTRO ~ Through lockdown I saw they are offering sweet boxes on a Thurs and afternoon tea boxes with collection. I’d like to know more about their full food menus and check them out when they’re back open!

TEDDY T’S ~ Run by the same people as Rumba, I need to visit both of them properly

ACROPOLIS ~ Keep looking at their Just Eat page and I am intrigued (Greek place!)

WHITE MEN CAN’T COOK ~ Jerk chicken and food that I’m sure packs a punch with flavour, delivery not a restaurant, looks intriguing

TIFFIN RASOI ~ Indian takeaway my friend raves about!

GOODSHEDS ~ Not open yet but so excited for all of the street food vendors that are going to be trading here!!!!!

FAT BOYS ~ Want to try this chippy!

BAY 5 COFFEE ~ Only ever got a coffee here, little place overlooking the beach, would like to eat some food next time

ZIO’S GELATERIA ~ They do desserts and a ton of ice creams including my fav turkish delight!!!

COCOA THERAPY ~ Stunning chocolate shop on High Street, their chocs look perfect

CEGIN CARDIFF ~ Delivering to Barry on a Fri & Sat, really want to try one of their paneer dishes

VEMAN’S JUNK FOOD ~ Vegan burgers, kebabs, loaded fries and mac & cheese, new to High Street

PJ BAKE ~ Gorgeous cakes!!!! Outstanding and so talented, I follow her page just to drool

LETTERBOX BISCUITS ~ Cute personalised biscuits

GRAHAM’S GOURMET GRAZING ~ Vibrant, tasty looking grazing platters

BARRY BEAR BAKERY ~ Beaut looking cakes and cupcakes

O’S BAKERY ~ Brownies and fudge, look fab, varied flavours

HAYLEY’S LITTLE BAKERY ~ Her cakes and cupcakes look amazing

BAKED AT 64 ~ Delicious freshly baked doughnuts based at Barry Island

LUX SWEETS ~ Mixed sweet boxes with free delivery in Barry

THE SWEET EXPERTS ~ Similar to the above but looks like they do chocolate boxes too

BAKES BY CHARL ~ Pretty cupcakes and brownies

AL FUDGE ~ Pickup only fudge, nice mix of flavours

WHOCULT ~ Beaut doughnuts, not actually based here but Barry is on the list of places they will deliver to!

MISS CHEESECAKE ~ Not sure if delivery or just collection, but a cheesecake business based in Barry, looks pretty yummy

GAB’S BAKES ~ Love the look of the cute pink cupcakes, can see welsh cakes and other puddings on there too

HAN BAKED ~ Cookie jars, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, mmmm

SEASIDE SWEETS BARRY ~ Sweets, love the look of the wrapped sweets box and choc bar box

MAPLEY MADE ~ Bakes including treat boxes and cheesecakes - cakesicles look fab
